KID'S TRAINING PROGRAMS

ABOUT OUR KID'S PROGRAM

Super Hero Kids™ recognized a need for training in this sensitive area and created a unique platform. We have carefully designed fun, interactive and effective programs, which prepare children to recognize, stop and prevent sexual assaults. We offer age-appropriate training, from elementary to college-aged audiences. Layers of relevant information are carefully woven into each course so that the content is audience-specific.

HARD FACTS

  • Child sexual abuse is one of the most prevalent health problems children face with the most damaging consequences.

  • About one in five children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday.

  • About 90% of children who are victims of sexual abuse know their abuser. Only 10% of sexually abused children are abused by a stranger.

  • Abusers often form relationships with potential victims and sometimes with their families prior to abuse. This is called "grooming."

  • Grooming behaviors can include: special attention, isolating the child, filling the child's unmet needs, filling roles within the family, treating the child as if he or she is older, gradually crossing physical boundaries, using secrecy, blame and threats to maintain control.
